85 days to go... And Thinking Of Those Who'll Be Missing Out

Man how time is flying now... It seems like the year just started...but no..Tuesday is the first day March already!

Things are getting done and finished... including paying off all of our vendors. Thanks in part to our tax returns, that is now done!  That's a big accomplishment! Now it's just to finish up all the small things.
We got our favors delivered last week! They turned out so awesome! I can't wait for everyone to see them!

I feel like things are getting done, but I can't remember any more what I've done.. lol
The best thing done.. wedding invitation envelopes are done!! There's a handfull left for Dave's mom to do but she's in town this weekend and brought them with her! They look awesome!!

We had a little issue with the bridal party this week. Dave's groomsmen Anthony is in the Marine Corps and is stationed in Yuma, AZ. He got orders this week for deployment soon after the wedding, so with him living out of state, he needed to step down to take care of things for his deployment to Afghanistan.  So Dave decided to ask my step-dad Joe to be a groomsmen, and he happily accepted so things are good now.  Thanks Anthony for your service and you will be missed! But country comes first.

Mr. & Mrs. Anderson Young
One another note, I went to a wedding last weekend. My friend and sorority sister, Prissy, got married.  Her wedding also gave me a chance to see our wonderful photographers, Judy Kay & Wayne last weekend. Prissy looked amazing and had a great wedding. Everything was beautiful. Brooke and I had such a good time. (Both of our guys backed out on us last minute so we went as each other's date.. Hey That's what a sisters for!)
Brooke & I

Chaunte', Josh & Stee

That same weekend I went home to Columbia was a great weekend to go home.  My friend Josh is a member of the South Carolina National Guard and on Sunday, February 19th.. he deployed to Fort Hood, Texas for a month before heading to Afghanistan for a year tour. Dave and I had spent the weekend before with Josh and his fiance', Stee.
On Shem Creek
They came to Charleston to celebrate Stee's birthday and Valentine's Day and they stayed with us and we got to have lunch together out on Shem Creek.  Dave and I were glad we had some time to see Josh off at the airport before heading home to Charleston. It was a very emotional moment... as we spent the time with Josh and his family before he left.
We hate he won't get to join us for our wedding but we know he'll be there in spirit.  Josh-- Thank you for what your doing. We can't wait to meet up when you're home for R&R, but more importantly, we look forward to your safe return and ride on the Thriller next summer!

Getting Things Done!

Well today is a big milestone in our countdown to Mr. & Mrs. 100 days from now will be the big party and celebration, starting our new lives together! I'm so excited and can't wait.  It seems like only yesterday we were on the cruise ship and he proposed! Where has all the time gone??!!

We'll we've been getting things done... small things but hey they count. Things are starting to come in the mail, so once they arrive, I try to get the project knocked out of the way.  One of the first things done is our awesome custom water bottle labels.  We'll be having buckets out full of water for our guests since the wedding is outside and in Columbia, May can be warm sometimes. So we came up with two designs using our wedding colors and awesome e-pics... I did a case of water myself but then my mom and MOH wanted to help out as well so I shipped them each labels to take care of. So I can check that off my list.
I then needed a new projects (I know, I really don't need more to do) but I'd been chatting with some of the other May 2011 Brides on The Knot and a lot of them were doing "Tears of Joy" packets.. They are little envelopes with some tissue for anyone who thinks they may cry..and knowing my friends and family, there will be tears. I already had everything I needed here to make them, so why not.  I had lots of extra envelopes from the RSVP cards since we turned them into postcards, I had some extra ribbon and labels, and Dave has been sick and we bought two boxes of tissue so why not.  I made 60 of them. I didn't think everyone would need them. I've included a picture of my inspiration.

And finally yesterday I tackled my favorite project -- My cake topper. I finally got my rhinestones. I order them off etsy.com and had no idea the rhinestones were coming from Hong Kong so I was waiting for about 3 weeks for delivery. I'm not gonna post my final picture..but I show you one I took soon after I started. I'm so excited for it!

It's all coming along and I can't wait.  We also had some more people book the cruise... right now, there are about 25 people or so going.  That includes my parents, grandparents, Dave's Mom & Kelly, Ryan & Allison (Dave's cousin and girlfriend), Groomsmen Anthony, Kentrell & Jeff along with each of their ladies, The Knudsen family and a few others! I'm so excited!

Some other news -- I have two bridal showers coming in.  The ladies at the church I grew up in is having one for me in mid-March and my MOH & two other bridesmaids that live in the Charleston-area want to throw me a shower. Date has not been set.. And then Suzanne and I talked this week and decided on a date for my BACHELORETTE PARTY! I can't wait!
