Hope We Can Be Together...

It seems like just yesterday I was posting that I was a married woman -- but it's been 6 months already.  It's so hard to believe!  The time has flown by so quickly but I couldn't be any happier.

For our 6 month anniversary -- my wonderful husband sent flowers and chocolates to work.  Everyone thought they were beautiful...

but it's the card that had everyone laughing..

"The last six months has been wonderful being with you.  Hope we can be together the rest of our lives."

Hope??? Dave says the lady at the florist was older and asked him multiple times what he wanted the card to say, but apparently she misunderstood.  We spent the evening at dinner with some friends who just got engaged.  Congrats to Kim & Brandon!!

Now that we've made it past the 6 months mark and through Thanksgiving, Dave is off in Texas working through Christmas. It sucks to be alone but he's making great money while on travel.  I look forward to getting to pick him in Atlanta and spend Christmas with his mom in Augusta.

While we are talking mushy love...  I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures from our wedding.  Judy Kay put so much time into editing our photos.. I can't thank her enough.  She had over 2,700 pictures from our wedding.... I can only imagine.  She sent us a disk with just over 2,100!!

Like I said-- these are just a few!

8 Days Away!!

Wow!! Time is really flying now. I can't believe it's already May and I'm getting married next week!!

We got just about everything done.. it's just small things now that I need to do here or drop off there or call.

Our final count is right around 175... which is awesome cause that's the number I based everything on for food!  There's still a few people who have told me they aren't sure but are trying and I'm still getting some RSVPs in the mail.. even though the date for those was April 30th. Oh well.. the more the merrier!!

I've picked out my bridal portrait with Judy Kay and I can't be more excited! I told Dave "It's not your typical stand in front of the State House Bridal pic." He asked how come.. and I told him "Because I didn't go to the State House."  I can't wait to see the print and hear what people have to say about it!  I LOVE IT!

The only things left to do.. finish programs, which is what I'm doing now (I'm just taking a break), find a pen for the guest book and pack for Columbia & the Honeymoon!  I can't wait.

Well back to work on the programs...More to come later this weekend!

Party's Over, Just 30 Days To Go!

Whoa...where has all the time gone? I'm getting married in 30 days! 30 days! Holy crap!! I'm so excited that it's almost here. Let me get through next weekend and I'll be even more excited with it being May...and the honeymoon just being around the corner.

Well last weekend was my final bridal shower/bachelorette party. What started out as a really rough week full of bad news turned so much better thanks to my awesome family and bridesmaids, Melissa & Tracy and my Maid of Honor, Christie.  We rented out the clubhouse here at the apartment for the afternoon and had a great time with lots of laughs.
Here are just a few pictures:

We had a great time and I can't thank these ladies enough for putting together an awesome party with so many last minute changes.

Last week I also had my bridal portraits take with Mrs. Judy Kay in downtown Charleston. We stayed within a 5 block radius and took so many pictures is so many different areas. I got some teasers from her last night and I cannot wait to see more.  She is fabulous and for anyone looking for a photographer in the state of South Carolina, I highly recommend her and her husband!

I'm Officially A Mailbox Stalker!

The wedding invitations are out in the mail and hopefully on people's fridges! I'm so in love with them and apparently other people are in love with them too!!

After all the trouble I had making up my mind, finding something I liked and was happy with..I'm loving my decision. We've gotten a lot of compliments on the addressing as well that Dave's mom did. We've even been asked if she would do it as a side job for some I know getting married later this year.

Now that they've been mailed out, I've become even more obsessed with checking the mail than before. We only have one key to our mailbox and I just keep it in my car. I'm now to the point when I get to the main street we live off of, I'm grabbing the key, and going straight to the mailbox when I get home.  We've already gotten 3 or 4 RSVP's back...but today...8 of them...and they were all yes's! I'm so excited!
Some people haven't written little notes saying "We wouldn't miss it." I've had a bunch of people write on my wall letting me know they got the invite in the mail and are looking for something to wear! I love it!! It really just makes me smile!

We even got our wedding gift today! My good friend and mentor from my first news job, Ashley, won't be able to attend because of May being a ratings month in TV (I really didn't even think about it when we sent the date...opps!)  I got home after excitement of 8 RSVP's and walk in the door and there's a box from Target inside. I opened it, and inside a beautiful wrapped gift in Target's logo print on white paper (who knew they had some awesome gift wrap) and inside.. a set of 4 beer glasses!! We love them!! Dave is so excited.. it's one of the things he wanted since he loves beer! Thanks Yarchin! Love ya lots!
As for the Checklist....it's almost all done!! We got so much done the past week.... Dave's ring has been ordered and is already in!  6 guys have been measured for their tuxes...just waiting on one more. It's all the small things.. music list, picture list, download music I've already selected.  I got to order sand for the sand ceremony. I found pink sand but can't find orange similar to it. It's not really sand.. it's more like thick tiny rocks... I guess that's a good way to explain it. =)

We should get our guestbook from our photographer this week. She told me she would mail it today. She loves the way it turned out and now I can't wait to see it!!
